Recently, we received some queries from buyers concerning about some snuff bottles being sold on the market which were reproduced by the combination of photographic, painting and decal process.
They were NOT truly hand-painted by an artist through the mouth of the bottle.
Most of these decals were specially made for nude and portrait styles. Their values are definitely low and deserve no collecting value!
However, to our knowledge, we believe that it is not hard for you to distinguish them from the genuine one (between printing and painting), especially if you try to go through the bottle with a microscope (10x). You can easily find their characteristic between printing and painting.
