Princess Diana (1961 - 1997)

Originally named Diana Frances Spencer. Born on the first day of July, 1961, at Sandringham, Norfolk, England. Married Charles, the Prince of Wales, and first in line to the British throne, in 1981.

Mother to Prince William Arthur Philip Louis of Wales (b. 1982) and Prince Henry Charles Albert David (b. 1984). Was born at Park House, the home that her parents rented on Queen Elizabeth II's estate at Sandringham, and where her childhood playmates were the Queen's younger sons: Andrew and Edward. She was the third and youngest daughter of Edward John Spencer and Frances Ruth Burke Roche, who were later divorced (1969).

Studied at Riddlesworth Hall (Norfolk) and West Heath School (Kent). Her finishing school was Chateau d'Oex at Montreux, Switzerland, where she perfected her French and became a competent skier. Upon returning to London she lived with three female friends in a rented appartment at South Kensington, London, and became a kindergarten teacher at the fashionable Young England school in Pimlico, and renewed her contacts with the Royal family.

Her friendship with Charles grew in 1980, and on the 24th day of February 1981 their engagement was announced. The marriage ceremony took place on July 29, 1981, at St. Paul's Cathedral. 11 years later, after many reports and accusations concerning marital infidelity and emotional alienation between the two, the couple were officialy separated in 1992, and remained a great deal detached from each other ever since. On November 95 Diana admited having a love affair with her riding coach James Hewitt (who wrote a book about this affair).

On Febuary 28th, 1996, the Princess anounced her readiness to officialy divorce Charles.

After their seperation, On August 31st, 1997 - the beautiful Princess Diana was killed in a traffic accident, in Paris, France.

 

About the artist - Zhang Zeng Lou

 

Zhang Zeng Lou was born in 1956. He is the chairman of the Inner-Painting Art Research Association. He was awarded many prized in a competition and his fine works were eagerly sought by collectors worldwide.
One of his fine works was the personal collection of Mr. Wee Kim Fee (President of the Republic of Singapore from 1985 to 1993).

 

Among Wang Xisan's apprentices, he has achieved the greatest success and is considered to be one of the new master artists in the future.

The bottle shows Princess Diana during her official tour to New Zealand in 1983.
