| Liu Ze Mian : He was born in Shunde of Guangdong Province in 1937. His family had been engaging in ceramic art works for four generations. Once he was a child, he started to learn the technical works of ceramic art from his father Liu Yuan in Shiwan where there was the most famous foundation of ceramic making in South China since Tang Dynasty. He has achieved kudos to a certain extent since he was 13 years old. In 1958, he took the advance study in the National Institute of Arts and Crafts and his art works and technical skill in ceramics were influenced by Liu Zuochao and Liu Chuan who was one of the top National Great Master in arts & crafts. Recently, most of his works of ceramic figurines especially creative and magnificent as they are highly praised by the National Museums and world collectors. Master Liu's sculptures are largely based on traditional themes such as Buddhist deities and celestials in legendary stories. These figures all demonstrate his superb skills and are characterized by their life-like and vivid qualities. He has engaged in Shiwan sculptures for 50 years and renowned for his creative sculptured figures of which over hundred pieces. His achievements are worthy of highest praise and award as most of his art works are collected by the National and Arts & Crafts Museums of China. Learning by experience the best of great art throughout China and overseas, he had been invited to visit America, Europe, Australia, and South of East Asia etc. In 1988, he was granted to be A National Great Master Of Arts & Crafts by the official administration of Guangdong Province, China. Recently, most of his works of ceramic figurines are collected by national museums and world collectors. He is now a leading member of many artists societies in China. His art works are worth collecting for a potential of peak rate valuation in future!
